Review summary

Cancelled this cruise due to Hurricane Lane. Norwegian would not accept rebooking this trip to a safer date. The Hawaiian islands had flooding of 3 to 4 feet in many businesses and homes after Hurricane Lane. Great time to visit Hawaii, immediately after their worst natural disaster since 1992. Someone in Norwegian management should watch the Weather Channel.

Hurricane Lane did not affect the entire State or every neighborhood on every island. We live here. Some areas did get major flooding, but you kmake it sound like the entire State was a disaster area. It was not. Our neighborhood in Honolulu was fine and relatives on other islands got some heavy rain but zero damage. Unfair to label everything a disaster and blame the crusie line. We have sailed 6 times without hassles and love it.

Did you by any chance cancel this cruise?

Everyone needs to understand travel contracts and running a business, i.e. Force Majeure. We all must understand and accept the risk of weather when it comes to travel. It is very unfortunate that Lane disrupted travel plans but why should all the financial risk be placed in the Lap of NCL?

You take chances when booking for the hurricane season. Should've bought trip insurance.
