Review summary

Doing Pride cruise #5 in Fall and cannot wait. I am a life long resident who has lived on each island for a time. A tip for cruises in next few weeks, a lot of volcano land and air tours are cut back or cancelled due to current erruption. Fumes are deadly and area residents are struggling to evacuate in the affected areas. Activity desk can let you know if you will have a chance to see anything. Lots of other things to see and do around Hilo.

Kiiauea observatory currenlty closed in anticipation of possible large erruption or explosive event. Rift zone in Pahoa area neighborhoods still being evacuated as lava keeps flowing and new fissures open up. Areas are closed to tours and non residents as emergency continues. But Hawaii island is known as the Big Island, larger than all other islands combined. So lots of other stuff to see and do from waterfalls, macadamia nut operations, orchid gardens, zip lines and more. Every island is unique in appearance and history, so you not be bored if you get off the ship to check things out.
