Pride of America Hawaii Cruise

Learning about the ship and its people; the little-known, yet very important history of Hawaii and its inhabitants ("Water, Wind and Waves"; the influence of volcanoes and the immense, nearly incomprehensible passage of time during their evolution; the level of dependence today on importation . . .).  The Pearl Harbor excursion is noteworthy and profound.  It should not be missed nor short-changed.  Overall, it would be less hectic and more pleasurable to have fewer destinations per excursion, in order to more deeply and thoroughly enjoy and learn about each stop.  In short, "less is more" in most vacation-related cases, contrary to the pace of daily life.

Food and Dining

Assuming excursions will be taken, expect less down-time and relaxation than anticipated.

Don't assume the food served in specific restaurants is better than that of the buffet. The food in the buffet is surprisingly good quality and of wide variety.
