Review summary

Learning about the ship and its people; the little-known, yet very important history of Hawaii and its inhabitants ("Water, Wind and Waves"; the influence of volcanoes and the immense, nearly incomprehensible passage of time during their evolution; the level of dependence today on importation . . .).  The Pearl Harbor excursion is noteworthy and profound.  It should not be missed nor short-changed.  Overall, it would be less hectic and more pleasurable to have fewer destinations per excursion, in order to more deeply and thoroughly enjoy and learn about each stop.  In short, "less is more" in most vacation-related cases, contrary to the pace of daily life.

More than adequate

Ship tip

Assuming excursions will be taken, expect less down-time and relaxation than anticipated. Don't assume the food served in specific restaurants is better than that of the buffet. The food in the buffet is surprisingly good quality and of wide variety.

We did Hawaii on Radiance and it was our best vacation ever. Hawaii is a special place. Everyone was very nice, they had pride in their culture and there was sooo much to see. The Hawaiian ecology is so unique. We started saving and plan on going back in 2020. The countdown is on!

well written. Your post seems to indicate that combining with a land trip is a good idea
