The Pride of America is a well maintained and very clean vessel. For it's age, and by today's ship standards, the vessel is fairly current with other ships of it's class. The staff was attentive and courteous.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
All of the food was good. The deserts could use some work. Overall\, the food was not as good as other cruise lines (Carnival and Celebrity)
Entertainment
3 out of 5
As mentioned above\, everything but the lounge entertainment was good. At the Pink Champagne lounge\, the piano player was awful. Everything he played sounded the same. You could not sing along with him. We like having a sing along entertainer. We have had this on all the other ships that we have been on\, this entertainment was way off. The shows were good\, but not as good as other cruise lines (Celebrity\, Royal and Carnival).
Service and Staff

No complaints about the staff
Ship Quality

The flow or layout of the ship could be improved a bit with more signage. It seemed that the pub was a dead end\, when the other side of the door was the buffet. We did not know that you could use the pub as a seating area when the buffet is open. This was very useful\, once we learned of this feature.
Deck 13\, which was supposed to have club Waikiki had the Waikiki bar. This was a smoking bar\, so we elected not to participate in the activities of this venue. The daily newspaper kept pointing out club Waikiki\, when in fact\, nothing was named club Waikiki\, only the Waikiki bar. This was confusing. That coupled with the smoking policy was not a venue for us. Unfortunately\, this seemed to be the only thing happening on the ship after 10:30pm
Cabin / Stateroom

We had a balcony room. It was very cramped\, but adequate. Much smaller than we are used to from other ships\, including NCL.
