Review summary

I would definitely recommend this cruise to anyone who wants a good overview of what the islands have to offer.  Good selection of excursions for seeing lots of amazing and beautiful sights.  The ship itself was ok, but not outstanding.  I guess that's what you can expect when there's no real competition allowed for other cruise lines to offer a similar trip.  Cabin was smaller and more crowded than other cruise lines we've been on, though it was clean and the cabin steward was great.  The food was only a step above mediocre but we loved all the fresh, juicy pineapple and other fresh tropical fruits available that we just don't seem to find on the mainland.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Mediocre and kind of disappointed with selection and quality, based on prior cruises.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There were several very good pool side bands who performed. Didn't do much else onboard as we were mostly off ship seeing the sights.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Loved their musical production show and Matt Marcy the magician was very entertaining and had some great tricks.

Service and Staff

Emi, our cabin steward was fantastic. She was always there to keep things clean and picked up. David, one of the dinner waiters was also excellent. He took time to go over each item on the menu to give us his opinion on which he thought we would enjoy the most.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Clean and well kept but not what I would call great.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Small and crowded for an outside window cabin, but clean and well kept. Bed and pillows were older and not very comfortable.

Ship tip

If you can afford it, I would recommend upgrading from window cabin to balcony. It seems that those were considerably larger and the balconies I saw in my exploring the ship were as nearly large as our outside window cabin. The Cadillac Grill is a pretty good lunch place. Not quite so crowded.
