Review summary

The cruise was fun because we made it fun. The buffet was not very good, hand sanitizer people always wanted to spray your hands even if you insisted you just washed them, and there was not a lot of on board entertainment (usually only one thing happening at a time). Our stateroom steward go upset because we did not want him to clean our room and the photo gallery was small and always congested.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The buffet food was not that good. Hot food was barely warm and therefore got cold by the time you found a seat. There was little variety in the buffet food from day to day; especially breakfast. The restaurants were not bad, however, lacked the quality of food for a restaurant over a buffet. Room service was quick but also lacked a wide variety in their menu options. There were also times during the day when it became difficult to find food. This is not good when there are people from all over the world that are used to eating at various times.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The shows and activities that were available (that we attended) were fun. However, compared to other cruises we have been on, there seemed to be a lack of activities. There was only every one activity going on at a time instead of a variety for the passengers to choose from.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Some staff were very friendly and willing to help especially in the Cadillac Diner and the Salon. Other staff like the hand sanitizing people and the buffet servers were not very friendly and, at times, even a little rude. It seemed like the ship was understaffed.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship itself always appeared clean and well taken care of.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The stateroom was comfy. It was very nice to have a balcony and being able to look out over the Hawaiian islands from our room as we sailed.

Pros: Being able to watch and hear the sports games (MLB, NFL, and College Football)

Cons: The hand sanitizer people and the buffet food.

Recommends Pride of America? No.
