We visited Kahului in June 2023 and rented a car for overnight through the Turo App. It was a great experience. The cars owner dropped car off in morning and picked up the car in the evening both days. We had to walk across the street from the cruise dock to a shopping center parking lot. There is no designated rental car parking spaces located right at the terminal. This is not a big deal if you don’t mind walking across the street. Turo is a great app for renting nice owner-owned cars. We rented a car through Turo at every island stop. Turo can be a lot cheaper option and more convenient than the big companies which are located by the airport. They even allowed us to pick up car in front of ship on last day in Honolulu and drop off at airport in the afternoon for our late flight back home. Hope this helps.

@happyskipperswould you mind sharing what addresses you put in the turo app to get picked up at the ports? I'd like to rent a car at each port and also pickup a car at HNL Airport before the cruise and drop it off at the port for the cruise, then vice versa on the way back. TIA
