Review summary

We thought the overall cruise was great. In reading other reviews, we were a little nervous about booking, but once aboard the Pride of Aloha we were treated with nothing but respect and given great customer service. Our room was always clean upon our return from any excursion we took. The food was good and we never booked a "speciality restaurant".We are not real picky eaters anyway. The shows were good and really enjoyed their comedy shows. The only negative thing we could say is we think the boat needed more signs. Once upon the boat we were never sure which was "aft or forward". I would definatley recommend this cruise. We had a wonderful time.

We took this day as a day of rest. We did tender into port, but we didnt have anything planned. We took the opportunity to look around the town and just sit by the ocean and walk up and down the streets. A relaxing day.

Again, we did took a ride in the helicopter. It was so different from Kauai. The land and volcanoes.
Don't Miss: I would say if you never had the oppurtunity to view a volcano...do this tour. We were so amazed.

Kahului, Maui

We rented a car and drove up to Haleakala. What a beautiful sight! It was just amazing. Words can not explain what the remnants of a volcano can look like. Something not seen every day. We also drove the road to Hana. This was so beautiful. A little scary at times because the road is a two lane road that occasionally turns into a one lane road. If you want the feeling of being in a tropical jungle(without the wild animals) I would recommend doing this. Youll see beautiful lush greenery and a prestige ocean coastline. The road is very curvy, so it takes about two hours to go 30 miles.
Don't Miss: A dont miss would be Haleakala. It was a beautiful drive up the mountain as well as an amazing sight once on top of the mountain

Nawiliwili, Kauai

We did the Waimea Canyon Fern Grotto tour and the helicopter ride. I would recommend one or both of them. We did the helicopter the day after we did the Waimea Canyon tour. We thought it was awesome. We basically got to get a birds eye view of alot of what we saw the day before. What a beautiful sight!
Don't Miss: Do the helicopter tour....you wont be disappointed!

Pros: The itinerary

Cons: Was not impressed with the cruise director
