Extended family celebration by allyB29

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

I was reluctant to try such a large ship but it was fantastic and there was still plenty of quiet places to be found or lots of things to do if you felt that way inclined. The captain kept us updated with any rough weather and was very reassuring. Everyone seemed very relaxed enjoying a wonderful time

We were lucky and had great weather which resulted in the perfect cruise. Meals were great, entertainment was great and we spent many hours lounging around the pools.

My 60th birthday cruise. by AndrewPap

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Ovation of the Seas

I caught a cold/flu on the last 3 days, so I avoided people. Even lunch and at dinner I found some quiet spots to eat by myself. Didn’t want to spread it. I don’t think the solo cabin helped (depressing). I prefer a smaller ship, however, I’ve re-booked back to back cruises on the Quantum which is identical. The staff are amazing and friendly. I also can’t believe their memory skills. A barista remembered my name from a year earlier on another ship! Just need to plan more carefully for shore excursions.

Big BIG SHIP, my only... by jardean360

Sail date: /
Ship: Ovation of the Seas

Big BIG SHIP, my only problem was that all the amazing activities are there but because there is that many people wanting to have a turn they make you book them all, the seaplex was the best part of the ship because it had xbox, pingpong and indoor sports, there was plenty of shows and partys to go to at night thanks to the two big entertainment areas (two70, royal theatre) and there was also bands playing at the little bars on the esplanade every night. Great wheel chair accessibility coming from a person who pushed their grandmother around on one. We were both able to get on and off the islands and she could access every room and place on the ship, there was even a machine that could bring her into the spa ! The solarium looked great cause the adults can relax there without any children, I had to order more than one meal for dinner because it was unpredictable if it was going to be good or not. Overall had a great time.

This cruise is catered for Australians, as a cruiser I would not go on the ovation of the seas again as I didn’t find the ship and vibe as good as adventures or oasis of the seas by Zaraashleyt

What an amazing holiday from... by wen1969

Sail date: /
Ship: Ovation of the Seas

What an amazing holiday from the time you board till the time you return you are looked after so well, the whole ship was amazing crest bars, pools and entertainment not to mention the shopping, the service was outstanding I would recommend to have a few drinks at the North Star Bar it’s the best and the late dinner in dining rooms are perfect. I don’t think there would be anything to complain about, but there is so many people that don’t realise u r on holidays so relax enjoy and don’t abuse staff as they are doing a job like u do when u r working, I’m sure you wouldn’t like to be abused at your work place. I would recommend this cruise ship to anyone I will be only ever cruising with Royal Caribbean from now on runs circles around other companies.

Our family loved Ovation of... by shez33

Sail date: /
Ship: Ovation of the Seas

Our family loved Ovation of the seas. All the great stuff about the ship made the small things we found fault in seem like nothing to be worried about. Firstly ou room was good. Plenty of storage and I love that RCI have decided to do away with shower curtains and put a propper shower door in. We had a balcony room and I loved the fact it was a sliding door that we could leave open when in the room to enjoy the sea air. Coffee, tea, milk, sugar and a kettle provided in the room. That was really nice. The beds were not terribly comfortable but we have had worse. The only small thing in the room was when the sofa bed was pulled out It left very little room to get to the balcony. I have a few bruises from banging my legs on it. Activity wise this ship is awesome. The seaplex offers multiple things for the kids to do daily. My kids never said they were bored. The highlight for us was the ifly. Our 3 year old even enjoyed the ifly. The food the Silk was lovely as was Chops grill & Jamie Olivers. The staff in all the restaurants were great with my kids. The only let down was the windjammer after two attempted breakfast meals and two lunches I had enough. Finding a table was hard. Being pushed, having people pushing in line and putting their arms over you to grab food was just plain rude. Trying to get off a lift up there was also a challenge as the people getting on would not wait for the people getting off. Overall the ship was great. We would do it again.

Great ship. Love the decor also the shows in TWO70. Our cabin was 13712 which was a balcony cabin. We had 2 Adults and 2 children in our room. The kids [11,13] loved Seaplex and the kids club. The show Pixels and Live Love Legs were our pick on the boat. by TravisC5117

Great first cruise by BennChristine

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: South Pacific

This was our first cruise and we were told by many that we picked a great ship for this as there is so much to do. Highly recommend checking it out end to end as there are many venues and hidden gems to be found. Be prepared for alot of other guests however as it’s a big ship with alot of people. We had a great time.

The ship is Grand, but not a luxury cruise by mara1980

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

Thoroughly enjoyed the Ovation of the Seas, the ship is huge & absolutely stunning although i wouldn’t classify it as a “luxury” cruise like its portrayed! If they could improve the food and customer service I would rate it 5*
