Review summary

This our second cruise, which we were very excited to do but unfortunatly it did not meet upto our expectatons. If this was my first cruise i'm not sure i would be back. I am still living of my first cruise with The Jewel of the seas. After the first week of not feeling special we spoke to Diana in customer service who went out of her way to give us a better experience. I am also thankful to Jamaila and Sri, who also served us brilliantly. We will be travelling with Royal Caribbean next year and hope that it is better.

Food and Dining

Main Restaurants were not too bad for accommodating people but food was not as good as expected. The Windjammer closed far too early compared the other ship I went on. The best restaurant and service we received was from The Grand. We felt special for the first time.

Windjammer Marketplace

This restaurant was unfortunately closing far too early. If you did not want to dress up to go to the other restaurants all that was available after 8:30pm was pizza or sandwiches.

The Grande

This was the experience we were use to for the 2 weeks we were on the Jewel of the seas. We were served by Jamaila and Sri who gave us fantastic service. The Chef Cooked us some Caribbean delights which made our day hence the name Royal Caribbean. Jamaila and Sri really complemented our experience. Thank you ladies.

I used the fitness center most days, Basket ball court, table tennis.

Guest Services

The crew worked hard throughout but the Guest services needs to be bigger or you need 2 areas for the service required. The person we would like thank for their help is Diana. She was the one that allowed our cruise to begin after the 1st week.

Great experience I have often thought about sky diving and this was just good be able to get some experience of the real deal. I would recommend this venue to everyone who has no back troubles.

Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center

The gym was great, so many pieces of equipment to use. I spent many hours in there. I also experienced the massage. Brilliant!!

Entertainment

The stage shows was ok but not great. Musicians/DJs: I found the DJ music one sided, the only time there became a variety was Hong Kong when the two musicians joined us.

Service and Staff

The best treatment we received from staff was in The Grand, where Jamaila & Sri gave us the best service throughout the short time were allowed to use the restaurant. Also Diana in Customer Service, fantastic service.

Ship Quality

The ship was very clean but I would not say glamourous as I only have one ship to compare with which is The Jewel of the seas.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was beautiful, great size. I would have given it a 5 star but our attendant was nice but not great at his job. there were a few mishaps.

Ship tip

Try not to book to on 'My Time' as you will not be able to use the Grand. Book 'Tranditional'
