Review summary

The staterooms are spacious and comfortable except the beds were more firm than I like. The food in the Windjammer is pretty much the same every day and got boring. We visited the dining rooms instead, and there was good variety and the quality of the food was great. The ship is nice, but did not have the wow factor I expected for the price and for a new ship. It was difficult to get into the new attractions as they required reservations and were booked up before the cruise began. The staff and crew on the ship were great. I felt that I received great service from everyone.

Windjammer needs more variety from day to day. Dining rooms were excellent.

Was difficult to get onto attractions such as NorthStar, IFly, and bumper cars. On other cruises, there have been so many things to do that we had to pick and choose. Not so much on this cruise. The entertainment was not as good as on other cruises on Royal.

Our room steward, Roland, was fantastic! Everyone on the ship was friendly and I felt I received excellent service.

Interior cabin with virtual balcony...lots of storage and room to move around, beds were harder than I like. Overall, I liked our room.

....soon as I got onboard booked other things that needed booking and also booked us for 8.30 seating in the dining room of choice as we didn't want to go from room to room with my time dining. They were only to happy to fix this for us

I was on Ovation for 9 days and had a wonderful time. I pre booked the three main attraction shows prior to boarding and as soon as I got onboard. Think we only went into windjammers twice, there's a good enough choice elsewhere. I have to agree I thought the mattress was way to firm and had trouble sleeping the first night but after speaking to my room steward and asked him if he could in any way make my bed like a cloud ð he put a topper on and slept soundly. I would definitely go back on Ovation, loved it
