Review summary

We loved the Oosterdam! It is a smaller ship but the size was perfect for a Mediterranean cruise since we did so much walking in the ports it was nice to come back to a smaller ship! The food and service were excellent and we really enjoyed the pop-up Sel de Mer restaurant in the Pinnacle Grill.

Great ship for a relaxing enjoyable cruise. We have been on a couple times, once for 17 days and did Panama Canal.

I don’t find HAL to be any more expensive than other lines and based on specials they run throughout the year and the itinerary you choose, they can actually be cheaper. One of the specials we watch for every year is the “Explore 4” special - includes reduced pricing, drink packages, dinner at Pinnacle Grill, and reduced deposits.
