Review summary

Just walked in our Oosterdam “veranda balcony” room for 3 and I do not even want to give one star and we haven’t even left port. The rooms are NOT like the advertised pictures or the floor plan at all!!! Disgustingly filthy: sticky tables, floor not vacuumed (also stained), couch black all over the edges and white “stuff” that looks like seman stains. Windows on the inside have sticky hand prints from floor to 6 foot. All other counters dusty. Bathroom floor not mopped. Linens for 2 people, when 3 booked. One ⭐️ because housekeeping appears as if they want to help. I’ve never given a poo-poo rating, ever. So, so frustrating. If things do not change, we will not be going on another Holland America cruise.

Wow...l.well be on this ship July 23....I sure hope it’s cleaned by then...this is very sad to hear!

We found our verandah cabin on Oosterdam in tip top shape. Balcony was not huge but big enough. The ship is a little weathered but still beautiful and very clean. We highly recommend this ship.

Was on the Oosterdam last July and found my cabin clean and tidy, as well as the rest of the ship. I'm sure the cabin steward would be more than happy to address your concerns.

Oh such a shame .we only have high memories of both oosterdam sailings. Ask them to reclean and see if they'll change yr room

So have you seen a lot of seminal fluid stains on couches before? Has housekeeping actually finished cleaning before you walked in?
