Review summary

The ship is 9 yrs old & has probably not been refurbished during that time. The shower in our cabin was difficult to stabilize, i.e. the head holder was loose. One elevator at midship was non-functional. During the cruise there was a problem in the engine room which led to our reaching the final port a bit late.

Food in the dining room was generally excellent. Food in the cafeteria was good to excellent. The 1 disappointing thing I mentioned above was the quality of the coffee. I understand the necessity of brewing lots of it & a finer grind slows that process down a bit\, but with a great dessert\, as we had in the dining room\, a good cup of coffee is a great accompaniment\, but that was a singular complaint. Some say it was too weak; others too strong. I say it began with less than stellar quality coffee & didn't stand up to the rest of the eating options on the ship.

Entertainment

We wanted to watch a couple of movies in the viewing room\, but it was too small & was always overfull. People were dragging chairs in from across the hall & sitting in the aisles.

The shower was mentioned above. That's the only thing about which we had a complaint\, although we needed to ask the room attendant how to control the shower temperature.

Pros: Dining room service

Cons: Ship is showing its age/Coffee not very good
