Great Cruise; Great Ship; Great Itinerary. We felt safe with cleanliness a high priority. Lots of activities for the whole family.
Embarkation

Be sure to show up at your boarding time. The process is a breeze. Staff uses tablets to "log you in".
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The Windjammer had lots of variety for every meal; the new "set menu" in the main dining does seem to restrict the various options that were available in the past. Try the Solarium Bistro as an option from the Windjammer or Main Dining room for breakfast & lunch. El Loco Fresh is a great option for lunch but it can get crowded as it is next to the pools. Sorento's and Cafe Two70 are very good other options for a "lite" lunch or snack. We did not eat at any of the "upscale" restaurants.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Be sure to ride the North Star and the bumper cars. We enjoyed the piano player in the Schooner Bar; there are lots of music options available on the ship.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Best show was the Two70 Experience highlighting all the high tech available in the Two 70 venue. Enjoyed "The Book" also in this venue -a real high tech circus show. Showgirls & The Effectors were also enjoyable; Effectors is also a high tech light show. Best "Head Liner" act was Earl Turner!
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
While we had no children, there were over 1250 on board. The feedback from the parents we met and from the children/ teens was very positive. Lots of programs and activities in their own area of the ship. The "kiddy" pool was a favorite for small children.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Staff are consistently friendly and helpful. Mark in the My Time dining room was so excited; he was a new father while we were on the cruise! Our room steward was great at keeping our room clean.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Quantum Class is very different interior design from other classes of RC ships. On our cruise, the ship was FULL at 6 "babies" over capacity @4966; 1250 children under 17. It seems it was "winter break" everywhere but ships design and layout handled it nicely. Always plenty of deck chairs. Even the Windjammer was never too crowded to find a table. The staff ise consistently cleaning and the "hand wash" area before entering the Windjammer was a great innovation. The Solarium is a great adult retreat especially with its own Bistro for meals.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Class 4D cabin. The size was very good; 2 closets with plenty of hangers. The sofa was comfortable but the TV placement at the end of the bed made it difficult to see. The bathroom shower seemed bigger than on other ships! Balcony was private with plenty of room.
Ship tip
Windjammer- get a table at the stern/ rear of the ship for fewer crowds. Be sure to try the Reuben sandwich in the Cafe Two70. For a quiet breakfast, try the Solarium Bistro. The Bistro dinner menu is a "smaller" version of the Main Dining Room. The menu selections are available on the app for the whole cruise. Book your activities as soon as you board; the "Book" and the North Star can be booked before boarding
Tendering can be a problem so prepare in advance. We did the semi-submersible scenic cruise followed by the almost mandatory trip to "Hell". It was fine. We walked around town for a while before returning to the ship.
We stayed in the "port area" as we had visited the port several times. Be alert if you travel into town outside the gates. Inquire about the taxes before purchasing anything. My $28.00 purchase rang-up at $31.16 due to "taxes".
Great venue but can be expensive. Get there early to avoid long lines at the waterpark!!! Food was just OK; we went back to the ship, for a better lunch. An Oasis Class ship docked about an hour after the Odyssey and it really got crowded. The water park was jammed. Lots of people doing the balloon ride! Everyone was having fun with so many options. The water was very calm & clear. The pool is the largest in the Carribean!
