We went the week before christmas and it was packed but we still managed to find deck chairs and do most of the things we wanted to do. Seaplex is awesome. Food is great. Service is impeccable. Itinerary is for ppl who mostly want to relax/lay around on a beach - which was us! Only place with not-great weather was FLL. After that it was 80f & great.

Loved the main dining room. Windjammer was crowded at peak times and we had to find a seat by the pool 2x, but was otherwise good. Didn't eat at speciality restaurants.

Seaplex is 5/5 stars. The optional activities book up so fast it's as if they were planned for a ship half the size of the odyssey. we didn't book ship activities in advance and there were zero spaces available by the time we got onboard. Rating this a 3/5 because they weren't available

Each show was very different, which was great. Tech was amazing. Some of the songs were meh, but the performers did a great job

My kids would have lived at the Seaplex, if they could have. They didn't use the kid's club. The 1 time we tried the line to get in was huge and it kind of came off like a place for 10 and under, so my kids didn't want to wait. wish they had a separate pre-teen club like some other lines do. 1 thing i liked was that they would have let my 12yos come and go from the kids club as they pleased (but like I said, we didn't use it)

Decent size. View was usually facing away from the ports into the ocean. This room has a pull out sofa where 2 kids can sleep side by side. Mattresses weren't the comfiest but we slept fine. Bathroom had lots of shelves. Room had 2 wardrobe spots to hang clothes, 5 decent size drawers (+ 2 small drawers) and a few small cubby holes in a wardrobe. You can hear noise from rooms above you and from the balcony, but not much from neighbors on the side or the elevator. Most annoying thing is that 1 side of (adult) bed has no plug/usb port.
Ship tip
If you're traveling at a peak time show up to things early b/c lines get long, fast. If you want to do things like the iFly or other extra ship activities, book theme in advance
Beaches were clean and nice. Lots of fun activities/places to relax. It was nice not to have to worry about getting to/from a port. We went kayaking, which was hard for the kids (12yo) so they went with adults. That was a work out. $8 for a locker but you can change lockers and open/close as many times as needed
Went to discovery bay. The obstacle course is very challenging so life guards had to go with the participants the whole time to drag them out of the water. Because of this it took forever and there was a huge line. Beach also had sharp objects in the sand (metal bottle caps, etc). If you like touristy shops, there's a ton right at the port
Dolphin swim experience was great but RCL screwed up the tenders and a group of us missed the official excursion bus. Port workers had to find us a 2nd a bus, which took an hour. Several ships were tendering in at the same time so the port was pure chaos
We did the self-assist departure and were told to leave at 7am. but our flight wasn't until late afternoon. We got out of the room by 8am and then left the ship around 8:45am and it was fine. Just walked right off
