Review summary

Discrepancies found once on board. During our reservation with we were told that the two cabins that we were booking could not be near each other bc one was for 3 persons and the other for persons. That let me to believe that the bedding arrangement would be different. That turned out to be untrue. When we got to both cabins they were arranged identical for 4 persons. I had to request my cabin steward to modify ours for just 3 persons to have a little more space. So basically what we were told was not true and we could have had both cabins near each other instead we were about half the ship away. The other discrepancy, we received communication from RC that we would need reservations for the shows. It was very difficult and stressful before our sailing to select and get the show and times we wanted to fit in our schedule. It turned out that with a Gold Card you did not need to make any reservations. In fact, most shows had plenty of empty seats even though trying to reserve ahead of boarding was near impossible.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Stressful to get a table at the main dining room at dinner. It seems the oversold this cruise. Finally after talking to two restaurant managers I was able to get a table for the 7 of us. Service was very cordial and overall good. Food selection was limited and quality was just above average to good.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pools way too crowded and chair totally occupied everyday. Other daily activities were fine. Night shows were few but very entertaining the ones we attended.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Stage shows were very good but too few of selection.

Children's Programs

Our grandkids did other activities plus the shore trips did not give enough time.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Dinner service and other eating venues very good. Stateroom attendant good overall.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ship needs refurbishing. You can see wear and aging in several areas inside and outside the cabin. There were some water leaks in our hallway from pipes above the ceiling.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Bed to closet too tight space compared to other ships we have taken for similar ocean view cabins. Overall cleanliness was good.

Ship tip

During busy seasons do not choose My Time for dinner. It is near impossible to get a table once you are onboard.

I’m confused about the Gold card. That’s not a thing. It’s always recommended to do show reservations because otherwise, you’re in a waiting game. Thanks for the feedback. The itinerary looks nice.
