I generally don't feel "nickel and dimed" on a Royal Caribbean cruise. Part of what makes it a great value is not having to pay for things you don't require. Sure, if you fail to plan ahead and find yourself wanting or needing things that you could have pre-purchased, you're going to deal with people whose job it is to sell these items or services. And understandably, you may feel as though you are captive to whatever is being charged. But these are things, with few exceptions (certain suite guests and high loyalty status guests), that everyone else must pay for too.

The Oasis is why we fell in love with RC big ships! So much do and fun for all ages!

Oops sorry 😞 thanks

Another fake review. The Oasis is a spectacular ship, and Royal Caribbean has the best entertainment of any cruise line sailing.

Research and planning ahead are important to enjoying a cruise on the larger ships. Those that don’t like to plan ahead probably need to consider another type of vacation.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your cruise. Reservations for headliner shows on the Oasis and Quantum class ships are recommended. You're able to make reservations before the cruise on the website under cruise planner. The shows don't cost extra, it's just to reserve a spot. Even if they "sell out", there's a stand by line that is let in to fill any vacancies 15 minutes before the show starts.

I'm kinda surprised. Everyone seems to love the Oasis. With 6000+ people on board, reservations are understood. We're taking our first cruise on a smaller ship, then may consider one of the bigger ones later. Oasis is not for the faint of heart from what I've heard. 😁

Sorry this cruise didn’t meet your expectations.

Sounds like you didn't do your research. If you had, you would've known to make reservations.

I love Royal Caribbean, we have sailed with them for 8 yrs now. A cruise is what you make it...cheap or expensive. We go the cheap route...we do splurge on a balcony, but we do not buy a drink package. We actually bring soda with us as eight 20 ozs bottles will last us a week, and snacks for our room. We do not eat at speciality restaurants, only the Windjammer or free cafes. As far as the shows, they have always recommended reservations, esp for headliner shows, its like this on other cruise lines as well. We really do enjoy RCCL.
