Review summary

Overall this was a good cruise. It would have been better if the lines to get food weren't so long and parents were actually supervising their children.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The embarkation process was quick and painless. The only thing I would suggest is to have a separate line for those traveling with birth certificates, because this process takes much longer than it does if you have a passport.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The Port Side BBQ was delicious and well worth the price! They are literally the only reason I gave 4 stars. The complimentary food options were impossible to get into due to the amount of people on the ship. If we wanted to eat we had to go to a pay restaurant.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We did not use any of the ship activities just due to the amount of people on the ship.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
A lot of people, such as myself, spend most of their time on the pool deck. The entertainment was lacking. They maybe had something go on once a day. We couldn't even get music played at night, while sitting on the pool deck. It was quiet, except for the noise level coming from unsupervised kids.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff were absolutely wonderful. Everyone was smiling and taking pride in their jobs.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the ship was, due to the amount of people on board. The staff did an amazing job cleaning up after some people who were too lazy to pick up after themselves.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was perfect! It was both clean and beautiful. Plenty of storage space and the bed was extremely comfortable. The only negative thing I can say about our balcony is the location. It was awesome being that close to the elevator but there is a hot tub located directly above, and it's constantly throwing water all over the balcony. Made it very difficult to sit on the balcony and enjoy a meal.

Ship tip

Be patient and expect to wait a long time in line, for food. There are so many people on this ship that it can take time to get an elevator and even eat.

Ports of call

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

1 out of 5
We are not fans of this stop. The lagoon water was just nasty, and the people were very pushy and aggressive. They even grabbed on to me and were trying to pull me in the opposite direction of my husband. Definitely not okay. The food provided by RC on the island was not good and very limited options. It was a big disappointment all the way around. If we ever have this stop included in a future itinerary, we will not get off the ship.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
This was one of the quicker disembarkation processes we have ever been through. We brought our luggage with us and were able to get straight to customs and out the door.
