Review summary

Great lower cost cruise due to the age of the ship but still a great experience. I would cruise this ship again for sure. The only criticism I have is Roatan. Not much to see there.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
smooth and organized.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
I don't really like the MDR experience and rarely eat there. Packed in with tables so close. Slow service no matter what ship. Buffet is ordinary but that is what a buffet is supposed to be. Specialty restaurants 150 Central Park and Solarium Bistro were very good and highly recommended.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Lots to do.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Cats was OK but outdated. More magic shows and acrobatic shows needed.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Always excellent on Royal.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Staff can often be seen wiping down rails and dusting.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Basic balcony cabin on a cruise ship.

Ship tip

Portside BBQ is unique on this ship and the food was excellent. Royal should add this to other ships.

Ports of call

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Facial recognition makes the disembarkation very fast!

Thanks for the review. You mentioned the age of the ship, I often forget Oasis was the first. But I still find her to be in great shape and always keep me busy!

Oh my! We loved our Roatan excursions! We did a drift snorkle, Daniel Johnsons Rescue ( where you play with capuchin, macaws, and sloths) and Little French Key! It was 1 trip. It was amazing! If you ever go back try it.
