Review summary

Overall an interesting cruise to Canada. Good thing we were prepared for cold and foggy weather (in June).

Embarkation

3 out of 5
It was quite disorganized. It’s nearly at full capacity and was noticeable the lack of staff. RCL needs to do some serious hiring!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was pretty good

Coastal Kitchen

5 out of 5

We were in a Grand Suite and this perk is exceptional especially the happy hour, hot d’oeuvres and dinner.

Chop's Grille

3 out of 5

Food was marginal. Service was good.

Sorrento's Pizza

5 out of 5

Great quick snack

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Most outdoor activities was scarce due to the cold weather. Our last sea day was all heavy fog-all day long

Shore Excursions

5 out of 5

Excursions were quite interesting but the wait for the excursion was disorganized and non-communicative. Normally there is a shore person with a sign designating your tour. However with a nearly full ship (4500+), and most waiting to get on buses, it was very chaotic as we stood and mulled about trying to figure out the lines and tours.

Suite Lounge

The best hangout

Regalia

5 out of 5

Effy is a great shop. Regalia Watch has great products but the salesperson are not savvy about tax and duty free implications. They said everything is tax and duty free but this is mostly incorrect.

Entertainment

Ship tip

Be aware of Customs duty for on ship purchases. Guest Services reports purchases and you may get pulled for a visit to Customs. Be aware to know if it is made in the U.S. there should not be any tax or duty. This is particularly for high end purchases such as watches and jewelry.
