We tested positive once we got home. We where extremely cautious, wore masks the
entire time in public areas and where always using hand sanitizer and still got it. I asked at the breakfast and lunches in the main dining room to be seated with distance and they said sorry that section is closed. There was no reason to cram everyone together. According to staff they said the cruise this week is more packed then the last. This was our first cruise back since the beginning of the pandemic and think it'll be the last for some time. From what others have wrote it seems like it was a superspreader event.
Embarkation
2 out of 5
The key services while entering was a complete nightmare. No one in the port knew anything about it and where trying to put me in the general line. After I asked the checkin person and was told ask the guy when leaving to get on the ship. He argued with me that the key is at the door. I said no the key services and he said the same about the key being at the stateroom door. I said she told me to ask you. He said well ask someone inside. I ask when entering the ship and was told to ask someone else. We finally found someone with a sign once further inside.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

First nights food was not so good in the main dining. I asked for medium on my prime rib and I could barely cut through it. It was like it sat under a heat lamp forever. I showed the waiter and he was shocked and ran off with it. The next one was great. Later we found out that the kitchen staff of very short handed and the staff is over worked. That’s Royal Caribbeans fault. When asked to be seated in a dining room for breakfast and lunch they are cramming everyone in one area. I asked if we can be seated a little further apart and I was told no. I swear this is how we caught Covid. One thing we did notice in the breakfast buffet is the omelette station is history.
Onboard Activities

People who love escape rooms this is a must try. We have done dozens and I’d give this one a 10 hands down.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
There was suppose to be 2 shows in the aqua theatre and non. 2 shows in studio b and only 1. I have to be honest ever since the debut of oasis I wanted to go on this ship because these venues. I finally had the chance and nothing. I honestly felt ripped off. The bands playing around the ship are all playing over each other in the royal promenade and trying to listen to game shows in the karaoke venue with all this going on you can’t hear them. Simply closing the doors and maybe leaving one open would help majorly. Plus the girl hosting finish that lyric has no idea how the game works or how to say the things on the cards. You can tell she never rehearsed this ever. And then she’s humming while the music is playing which her mic is entirely louder than the music.

The staff really are amazing.
Ship Quality

The ship is great. Only complaint is on rainy days everyone crams into the royal promenade since it’s really the only area closed in.
Cabin / Stateroom

Hate the showers but it wasn’t bad. Reminds me of the tube thing they took those miners out with.
Ship tip
Bring hand sanitizer because not all of the station have sanitizer. The escape room is a must do.
I think it was captain jacks where the wings and fries are is a great hangout. Tables have games like Jenga and checkers. And the fries with the sauces where with the price.
@beachcrazy I have to agree with you that I felt the key was worth the price. It was just the hurdle of embarkation. I’d recommend it to others.
As far as Covid I honestly think a lot of it is just people not caring. People where coughing everywhere. And yes it’s something we have to except. But I think for now I’ll be giving up my cabin.
I get The Key on every cruise and 75% of the time I have issues with it on embarkation. Employees not knowing what to do, confusing signage. So I feel you, but I still think it's worth it with all the perks like internet. We mask and sanitize all of our cruises and still are paronoid about everything. Lol. But that's cruise life now. Agree with the other commenter, book another cruise quickly so you can get the bad taste out of your mouth from the last one
Welcome to the realization that no masks, no sanitizer, no vaccine, nothing will stop covid from running its course through humanity. All we can do is allow our bodies to do what it has done for thousands of yrs.... adjust and adapt.
