Review summary

Wonderful ship, even if it is older. It's a mega-ship but I was able to explore most areas using my travel scooter. Very handicapped accessible ship, except for the narrow hallways. For some reason, the hallway was littered with cleaning carts all of the time, making it difficult to navigate around.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was fast and hassle-free.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Windjammer was not very good, specialty dining we visited were Izumi Hibachi, which was wonderful, and 150 Central Park, which was SOOO good! Highly recommend these two specialty restaurants. Main Dining Room was average, but we only had dinner there twice. Breakfast on Debarkation day was so much better than Windjammer.

Portside BBQ

1 out of 5

Don't waste your money here. Brisket was just okay, and the ribs were awful.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I'm partially disabled so didn't do the rock-climbing wall or surf simulator but I did go to the Aqua-80 water show and LOVED it! 80s music was played during the show and really took me back.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Aqua-80 is highly recommended!

Children's Programs

Did not sail with children.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Junior Suite was perfectly-sized for me and my adult son, and I had plenty of room to park my travel scooter. Balcony was extra wide as this cabin was located on a "hump."

Ship tip

The 8th deck is a great place to choose your cabin. Strolling through Central Park was so nice, especially in the evening.

Ports of call

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

4 out of 5
The dock is super long and the port was very crowded with three good-sized cruise ships visiting that day.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Debarkation was fast and hassle-free. Great Job, RCCL!
