Loved it! Would do it again. My mom rented her first scooter for the travelling throughout the ship. That was a lifesaver at times. Jeffrey did a great job as Cruise Director (we saw him last year too!). We participated with other Facebook people and Cruise Critic people in a Meet and Mingle and also a Cabin Crawl. It was lots of fun to see how other cabins really look, especially the suites.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Very smooth path from the front door all the way to the ship. Short wait in line, but that was expected and not a big deal.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Main dining room food was great, if a little predictable. Our waiter and assistant took care of all our needs and made each night comfortable for us.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There was a lot to do on the ship. Cruise Compass was everyone's friend to guide them to the various activities. We loved Bingo Nick - even if we did not win a dime!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The comics were great (but I saw them last year - same stuff), we enjoyed the headliner show, and enjoyed the Come Fly with Me show. Did not see CATS, once (years ago) was enough.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone we came in contact with from the waiters to room stewards on our hall, to the maintenance staff were all very friendly and efficient. We were well taken care of.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
We had the best room steward on the ship. 8th level, aft, back of ship - Ketut was the friendliest steward. He was a great help with my mom and her scooter (backing into the room was a daily challenge). We hope to have him again someday.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
This was a normal, Boardwalk view balcony room. We were second from the end of the ship - so we saw the Aqua Theater activities every day. We had fun watching the Rock Wall climbers also. Cabin was kept very clean and neat and well stocked with towels.
While we did not do an excursion, we had a great time walking around the vintage looking port area, getting a Margarita in Margaritaville, shopping for Cuban cigars, and the all important T-shirt to commemorate the visit.
While we did not go on an excursion, we did wander around the port area shops, had lunch at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Factor, and purchased some neat pottery.
A cabin crawl is when a group of people (who've usually met on the internet) with different cabin types agree to go to each others cabins, usually for a drink. That way you get to see what different cabins look like.
