Not only depends on if you are forward, mid-ships, or aft but on how low of a deck. The higher and more off center of the ship you are the more movement there will be. So it's possible for what could be classified as a mid-ship balcony on a higher deck could have as much motion as a lower deck forward interior.

Take whatever remedy you decide on and a patch BEFORE you get underway. you should be fine.

Yes, it can rough up there. I generally avoid the front, any times I’ve been seasick it was upfront. If the ships rocking side to side it won’t matter much where you are. The higher you go, the more you feel motion. We’ve done 31 cruises, and we never book guarantees.
