people are expecting a pre covid experience. It's not going to happen. Cruising now you should expect things to be different. just go with the flow and enjoy yourself. Staffing shortages, food issues, show cancellations. That's just cruising now.

Food taste is subjective what some people like others don't. Keep an open mind and enjoy your cruise.

We sailed July 2022 on the Oasis. We ate dinner every night in the main dining room at the late dining 8-8:30. Every meal was special. Delicious and picture perfect presentation. Good variety and also you could up charge to lobster or filet mignon for a special treat. Our waiters went above and beyond to please us. We had a group of 12 and couldn’t have been more satisfied. In my opinion RC is way above Norwegian and Carnival. Have sailed on the all including Princess and Regent seas

I have have been on many, many RCL cruises and the food is good. Negative reviews on food is all about expectations.

I have to say I was disappointed on the food and that was before lockdown. it wasn't awful but I found the choice limited.

I personally believe the food used to be great on RC, but on my recent sailing I was thoroughly disappointed. We made a comment to the chef and I’m sure others would have too, so fingers crossed that they have made some changes since! My tip would be to eat in the main dining room where possible as I found the food there to be better ☺️

The food is not bad on Royal but the last 2 cruises we were on this year, I can not think of an outstanding dish. i feel the wow factor is not what it was 3 to 5 years ago.Enjoy your cruise I know you will find the food satisfactory.
