Review summary
My 10 year old daughter was diagnosed with an influenza virus the evening of our trip. I was quarantined with her in our room for 2 out of the 3 days. The medical staff was extremely knowledgeable in diagnosing her, fun and professional. Unfortunately, our insurance does not cover the $1400 medical cost of her diagnosis, medicine and treatments even though the Dr. said we would be able to be reimbursed by our insurance. The main reason that I will never go an another Norwegian Cruise again is because of customer service on the telephone after our cruise. I called Norwegian customer service to ask about numerous service charges on our invoice after the trip. Why should two people who were quarantined need to pay service charges every day? The person that I spoke with was extremely rude and said the only way that we could have gotten a refund for service charges (because we were quarantined) is if we asked guest services on the ship. How could we have done that???? She was extremely patronizing and acted like we should have known to do that. They are never getting my business again and I will make sure that my friends know about it too. The $1400 medical bill was already a big blow. And now this? Horrible customer service.Embarkation
