Review summary

Hello - as loyal customers of Norwegian customers (this was our second 7-day cruise with Norwegian) we want to let you know how we were very disappointed with our experience. The problems we faced were a) almost non existent vegetarian dish choices in the garden cafe and seven seas b) bland food quality c) food was never served warm and never brought together making it hard to enjoy the meal d) staffs lack of understanding about what is vegetarian. A) most of the vegetarian food in the ship did not have any flavor or spice to it. Vegetables such as beans or carrots sliced and sauted can be sides but not main entrees. But that's exactly what we got. There was one dish of vegetarian curry type of item which was prepared in rush with some spice but the dish was nowhere close to any reasonable restaurant dish. Also most days there was no vegetarian soup available. We had food but it was never satisfiying. B) again food all around was pretty bland. While the folks who ate meats had lots of options and well cooked food we did not get the same options. C) in the evening when we had dinner at seven seas all the time our food was not served together and if it was served together couple of dishes were not warmed and it seemed like they were pulled straight out of the refrigerator. Very disappointing since we could not enjoy the meal. D) very disappointed with staffs understandin on what is considered vegetarian. Broccoli Soup made with chicken broth is not vegetarian. Also pasta prepared in the same wok where meat was cooked is not vegetarian. We had to remind the staff every time about why and what we expect. We are not posting this complaint over social media because we want to give you a chance to respond. When we booked our cruise we were made promises of being treated royally; however, even though we paid same as other folks who ate meat we never got our money's worth in terms of food.
