Review summary
Overall, the ship was great. It was nice that it was a relatively small ship, because everything was in close proximity. However, I don't know if the ship being small made it more prone to moving more in rough waters. The first couple days of the cruise were rough, and our stateroom moved quite a bit. Service was average. At times we had really great service, and at other times we had pretty poor service. The poor service was mostly in the main dining rooms. Specialty restaurants and the sports bar had EXCELLENT service. The food was pretty good in the main dining rooms, the buffets were average (but thats with most buffets). The food offered at the Sports Bar was very good. We also ate at Moderno, which was EXCELLENT. Almost all specialty restaurants had no wait, except for Teppanyaki (which my husband and I didn't understand, because I feel like you can get japansese hibachi food anywhere). Regarding the ports of call. Cozumel: This was actually our favorite port. We did the mexican cuising workshop shore excursion, which was great! Grand Cayman: expensive. We 'accidentally' spent $65 dollars on lunch on the island, which was not very good food at all. Then my husband spent $8 on a bottle of beer. However, they do have a history museum about the island, which a lady we met on the cruise said was very informative and didn't cost to much ($5). Ocho Rios: Very dirty. Also, the Jamaicans will get right in your face. I would recommend doing an excursion (like zip lining, which we did (very fun)). Great Stirrup Cay: Very pretty island, and the buffet norwegian had on the island was great. Beware, the drinks on the island are more expensive!Ship experiences

Pros: The 'freestyle crusing' aspect. We were able to do what we wanted, when we wanted.
Cons: The inconsistent service quality.
