Another great vacation on a cruise ship

Sail Date: November 23, 2008

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Room Type: Oceanview

Generally speaking the ship was in great conditions. Clean, rooms and decks very well maintained. The ports of call were well chosen.
What we did not like were the following points:
- Lack of organization at the boarding of the cruise. No directions on what to do and where to go.People were handled as a human herd.
- Lack of organization at the disembarkment. We were supposed to leave the ship at 8.15 am because we had a driver waiting for us at the terminal. We disembarked at 9.20 am, had to wait another 15 minutes for our luggage toshow up, and.... our driver was gone. Now we had to wait another 1 hour in line to catach a taxi!!
- Waitng for organized tour was systematically between 45 and 60 minutes, with a messy exit of the lounge when your tour number was called. It would be way easier to organize these tours by sections and timing. This would make the flow of information and people much easier.
- The cruise management allows people to read and even to take a nap in areas such as the Garden Cafe which is supposed to be a restaurant, not a library, and in bar areas.

At the positive side: we had the best cruise director ever since our 7 cruises. (6 with Princess)

Pros: Free Style system - For meals and all activities

Cons: Total lack of organization and discipline

Recommends Norwegian Sun? No.

Puerto Montt, Chile

Don't Miss: The tour including the Volcano and surroundings
Montevideo, Uruguay

Don't Miss: City tour and Winery visit
Puerto Madryn, Argentina
The tour of the Valdes Peninsula did not deliver at all on the descriptions we got before taking the tour. This Peninsula is supposed to be a world model for wildlive. We barely were taken to Elephant seals, a few penguins and sea lions. Nothing really earth shattering. But they charged us $169.00 !!
Don't Miss: Nothing to my knowledge and experience. But maybe Iwe did not take the right tour
Puerto Chacabuco, Chile

Don't Miss: Nothing, keep sailing !!
Punta Arenas, Chile

Don't Miss: The Pinguins
Ushuaia, Tierra Del Fuego, Argentina

Don't Miss: The Rockhoppers Pinguins
