Review summary

Our cruise was terrible! They overcharge for everything from internet to a soda to all excursions. The ship smelled of cigarette smoke and sewer. I wrote to management and they said they would look into it. We never had internet even though we paid for it and our tv reception was out at least 80% of the time. We had owned Norwegian Stock but sold it because we were so disgusted with the whole trip. Wish I had the $$ back!

The main dining hall was always so crowded. The staff tried so hard to keep up but passengers were getting upset. Ice machine never worked and that ar a was a cluster. We enjoyed the Versailles and the steak was good. Servers were great.

Our room steward was fantastic!! RaJon went above and beyond. The best! Wait staff was attentive and helpful.

Buffet area was crowded. Always! The staff kept areas clean but the ship smelled of cigarette smoke and sewer.

RaJon kept our room clean and tidy. But our friend on another deck said there were spiders and their neighbor had bed bugs.

Ship tip

Do not sail Norwegian! They overcharge for everything from liquor to the adventures. Food was questionable and managers did not seem to care.

We've cruised on Norwegian Star and have very good memories of the ship and the cruise. It's older and smaller than next generation ships, but that wasn't a problem. The extra charges are up to you. We never pay extra if we are not interested. Norway and Iceland are among the most expensive countries, so expect everything to cost more.

Check the ports before your cruise, we had an amazing time in Seydisfjordur. We went fishing with a local fisherman and after the trip the fish got prepared in a local restaurant.

The excursion prices are online before you sail and the daily activities used to be printed and left in your cabin the night before. Do they no longer do that?

With so many bad stops, why did you pick this venue? Sorry the rest of the ship was not very good, but from all I hear that line has a lot of ‘up’ charges.
