Norwegian Star - Well Done

Ok, so embarkation was quite well executed, except one small detail. They told us, that check-in will open at 10:30. We were all waiting in the hall. When it was about 10:28 people tried to create a queue. But then they were told off and sent back. 2minutes, they allowed us to do so - make no sense to me. Then they let different lines to the counters at different times.

All the food we've tried were very good. There was variety and except the breakfast, you can find everyday different food. Drinks were good as well. Some people were surprised, that NCL stopped using straws, but Im all for it. And if you really would like a straw and be cool as well, you can ask in the kitchen was pasta straw. :)

Im not sure, but felt like nothing much was happening by the pool, except couple games compare to the other cruise lines. However when you got to the bars, lounges, ... the entertainment there was fun and very good.

I have to say, that the staff were amazing. Smiles, greetings, building rapport everywhere you go.

Ship was newly refurbished. What I find like a big plus is that in all staterooms were USB ports (1x at each side of the bed) and another two at the desk. Ship was clean. One negative here maybe. With the refurbishment, they have removed the kids pool and slides. We were travelling with a small baby so we were looking for that pool. Well what to do, were not gonna let that ruin our cruise. But when we were told off to put our baby with a swimming diaper into the pool we were not gonna let it go. Pool staff told us to that the babies with diapers are not allowed in the pool. So we told him we will remove the diaper. He disagreed as our baby was not potty trained. Well, he couldn't prove it anyway, but we told him, that even adults and bigger kids can have accidents in the pool and that its better if our baby has the diaper. Well our baby was in the pool for a while, so we took her out. Later on, our friends had the same problem. Pool attendant took us the rules of the pool and hot tub where he point out rule about the diaper. But this time we didn't let it go. And nicely told him, that he can't enforce one rule and let the other go. He seemed like he is confused, so we showed him the rest of the rules, like no kids under 16 years of age allowed in the hot tubs and then we pointed to the hot tubs, were one of the tub was currently occupied by 6 kids who by their looks could be roughly 9 or 10 years old. Another rule, no people in the pool under influence of alcohol or right after eating. By this rule I guess the pool would have to be empty for almost the entire cruise. He called somebody and then he finally said that its ok. So if this is your case as well, you know what to do.
