Review summary

We chose this ship for the itinerary and because we like NCL and had not sailed on this ship previously. We were not impressed with the food; not bad but not outstanding. The steakhouse wasn't worth the extra money. The prime rib in the dining room was just as good as the steak in Cagney's. The cruise director, Jamie, is wonderful and most of the shows were very good.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was average but not anything special. There didn't seem to be much variety.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We enjoy the trivia and games, but there wasn't much...or the activities overlapped too much so you had to choose. Some of the entertainers in the lounges were not that good. But the ship singers and dancers are very talented!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was very friendly, happy and helpful.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It had been refurbished about a year ago and was a beautiful ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
We made the mistake of booking a "guaranteed" interior cabin and ended up with one on the lowest deck in the VERY bow of the ship and listened to waves crashing against the bow all night on the rough sea days and other noises at other times.

Pros: Ports of call

Cons: The food
