Review summary

Our group of 6 were very disappointed with the Norwegian Spirit. We felt the food was not good overall, the ship was old and in need of repairs and information was difficult to extract from people that should be informed. My husband and I had two separate problems with our stateroom. One was with the door lock, it was very loose and we reported it 3 times. On the fourth day of our cruise the lock would not lock the door. Fortunately our room steward was there and stayed with our room so we could go eat lunch. The second problem was with the toilet running over and it took 2 calls to the service desk and 20 minutes of constant flushing of our toilet before someone came to see about the problem. We would not recommend cruising with Norwegian.

We felt the food at both dining rooms and buffet were not very good. The specialty restaurant Shogun was very good and the wait staff was great.

We enjoyed most of the entertainment. They had a nice variety.

Service and Staff

Our room steward was great and a few of the wait staff went out of their way for us. However, overall we did not feel they tried as hard to make us happy because they already knew what their tip would be before the cruise started. The Guest Services staff was not friendly at all.

Ship Quality

The ship was very difficult to navigate. You were always going up or down to get where you were going. The ship was clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our stateroom was comfortable. The shampoo and soap were in dispensers in the shower and sink which we did not like.
