Review summary
A quick 3 day cruise to the Bahamas with the family. I have cruised on the Epic and fell in love with the NCL experiance. The Sky was very different. Food choices were poor, our family sent food back several times and service was lack luster.Main dinning room decore in The Crossings and The Palace were very 1990's every chair we sat in had stains on the upholstry and pink and turquoise patterns on the chairs. The cruise director Tyler had lots of energy and was fun. Activities on a whole were geared for older crowds but were for the most part family friendly. Children's programs were not as exciting as our 12 year old would like, crafts and movies mostly. The. Rooms were well maintained by our steward and he was very attentive. Our bed was HARD and day 2 he had a softer bed for us! We did get the Unlimited Drinking package (beer, wine, liquor and pepsi products). $220 each for 3 days. It was nightmare we had to go to guest services 4 times and it was a hassle Ho get it activated properly. Drinks were $11 to $13 each and were strong well mixed drinks. Because we were in Nassau and Grand Stirrup Kay we really didn't use the drink package the way we would if we were on the ship more. Overall room attendant Carlos and Cruise director Tyler were great. Food was ok nothing inventive or memorable. Drinks were strong but drink package was a hassle. If one person in the room gets a drink package everyone has to have one. The kids drInk water most of the time but had to have the drink promotions because we did. For a quick cruise with low food expectations this cruise ship may meet your needs.Ship experiences
