You should look into a cruise before sailing. Most of your complaints would have been answered before you sailed.

NCL's website does a pretty good job of spelling out what activities a ship has to offer for all ages, and what is and isn't included in your cruise fare and the various options and packages. Dress codes and the like are also there. Folks here on the forum are always willing to help get things figured out as well. No reason to have been surprised after you've boarded by that kind of thing. I suspect you might have been happier with one of the larger ships. They do have more going on most of the time. That's especially true for your teen and active 30-somethings. We like the 'vibe' if the smaller ships, but like the activity of the larger ones. We've done 4 NCL cruises and don't remember seeing a single crew member that was bored or unfriendly, much less the whole staff. Sorry, but it's kind of hard to swallow that one. Sorry you didn't have a better cruise.
