Review summary
Just returned from the five-day trip to Cozumel and Belize. Got an amazing price on a mini-suite through this website--order with confidence. Everything was as described, and the mini-suite is definitely worth the additional expense: it's not very big (the photos fairly depict the space you have--it's about the size of a small hotel room in New York City, even with the sitting area). One word of advice: DEFINITELY get a room with a balcony. It was lovely to have the private outdoor space. Food was overall excellent, even the buffets, which had some decent variety throughout the week. We found the staff to be terrific and responsive, with nice little touches by the cabin staff that made us feel welcome. The Pearl is generally a beautiful and well-maintained ship. As for shore visits, Cozumel was a pleasant surprise--we rented a scooter and explored the island, which was amazingly beautiful away from the port town--but Belize left something to be desired. Both ports are swarming with aggressive vendors and tour operators--but as long as you smile and firmly say, "No thanks," they generally leave you alone. Try to get away from the shorefronts in each city--there's lots to see elsewhere. All in all, a great trip, and an exceptional value. If you're considering booking a cruise through this website, go for it!Pros: Mini-Suite was terrific, if a little small; specialty restaurants exceptional; crew was very responsive; ship is gorgeous
Cons: Only one pool, which gets very crowded; lots of additional charges; the cattle call at the pier in Miami
