Review summary

had trouble getting my husband's gold status. Kept getting different answers and no one seemed concerned about it. Took us six attempts to finally get a card that had it on(I had one and husband has traveled with me). If this is the service that gold members get, don't know if we want to do trip to get to next level.

I travelled on the Jewel in Dec and booked through Casinos at Sea. I noticed that I did not get any of the perks I received on previous NCL cruises. Not complaining because those little perks are just that to me, they don't make or break my vacation. I just found it odd because of what I received on previous cruises. Still an NCL fan and can't wait until I cruise again next month.

as I was told ncl has main office in Miami & each ship has their own management. gem would not honor discounts on photo packages, but breakaway does!

I was on the jewel in September they didn't give me any special discount that I qualified for but on the getaway when I was at a lesser level they honored everything I didn't even have to ask it was automatic

bc your loyalty earns you special discounts and if I had earned a certain level I would want my discounts too. On NCL you get discounts on Spa services, free laundry service free meal at le bistro free wine free champagne etc. yes you're there to enjoy your vacation but if you earned certain rewards for being loyal to one cruise line then getting those rewards should be apart of enjoying that vacation.

How was the ship...the food...the entertainment...the ports???? Just because you didn't get the gold status card or you felt that your cabin steward was on the phone all the time (doubt he was talking to his GF since they have no cell service at sea like the passengers, likely talking to his boss since they have cells to communicate with management and passengers) doesn't really give credence to a cruise review.
