Review summary

My boyfriend and I booked this cruise as a graduation gift to ourselves after college and booked it because it was the cheapest cruise (college budgets). We spoke with Norweigan a few times prior to the cruise and they informed us of amenities that were not on our ship like a rock wall and movie theater. the Ship was beautiful, there was a lot to do and we had a great time but this cruise is more of a family-friendly cruise and saome other vacationers did not wather their children so we were subject to having kids run into us, scream, cry, and all around be a bother. I think for us being young and not having kids, this was a big downside but for a family, this really is a great cruise. Everyday there were kids programs and family activities and smile time live (which we went to just to watch kids pie their parents---priceless!) For a young couple, there are a lot of kids. There are many adult activities on the ship like a bar crawl (which is $25 a person and TOTALLY worth it). There is also some kind of alcohol tasting each day for an additional cost but none of them were too exciting to us. The cruise was the cheapest around when we booked but when you got on the ship you payed for so much, I almost would have rathered a more expensive cruise with more included. A few other travelers told us about other cruises where more was included and it definitely sounded worth the money!!!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food isnt bad, the bufftes get old and the main dining rooms do too so save some money for the specialties for at least 1 or 2 nights... its cafeteria food, feeding mass amounts of people so it isnt the greatest but it really wasnt that bad

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Most fo the activities were for families. Even the adult things had kids at them. There was only 1 or 2 shows that were actually 18+, I wish they had more...

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Alvin is one of the hosts for events and if he is on the ship when you are, make sure you hang out with him. He really is the best and he makes everything you do so much more fun. He has a great personality and really knows how to help people open up, meet friends and have a great time.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

we had an inside room but it was really nice. it had everythign we needed except a clock. No matter when you woke up, you could see NO daylight so you had no idea what time it was...

Pros: some activities planned

Cons: onboard expenses
