Review summary

We were on the September 2nd-9th cruise. We have never sailed NCL before and we were not disappointed. The embarkation process was quick and painless we had our first drink at 11:09am. I find the set up of the ship interesting vs the other ships due to this ship I find especially which everyone complains about the pool area... The pool area to warn everyone may seem small but it was designed on a social aspect to get everyone to socialize. I love the concept. If you can't find a area around the main pool there are other options as well and for those who do not like the company of kids. The kids area is amazing it kept my little one busy for hours and there was a life guard on duty at the kids pool. Kids programs are great as well! On to the food, yes you have to pay for the specialty restaurants but they are worth every penny. It was great to have French on Monday a great steak on Wednesday and Italian on Friday. Your on vacation your going to spend money and if it's not cooked right send it back like a normal restaurant. We never had that problem. The restaurants are themed accordingly with polite staff. O'sheehan's was great for a quick sit down if you do not want the buffet. We did not have anything horrible and I like that they do serve breakfast also so if you do not want taste or savor or the buffet that is another option for you. They are open 24/7 also. The buffet food was good, there was a different theme every night. You could always find something to eat. Plenty of dinning options. The room set up was nice with like there was a shower door vs a curtain like other cruise lines. I found that the rooms were longer length wise then others which took some adjusting if you have a playpen to put in there. The room was clean and tidy no stains or funny smells. I like the light concept on the outside of the door for when you are in your room, do not disturb and make up room. They were on point with the cleaning and always kept our ice bucket full. We were never bored on the ship. We did not have to wait in line for the ropes course just the water slides to be expected. The casino was smokey but wasn't too bad as other ships because it wasn't completely closed in which I liked because when you walked through it wasn't over baring the downside was it did flow into the atrium a little but wasn't bad. They will take a little longer getting to you at the game for a drink but the bar is close and fast which is a plus. I will clarify smokey as in there isn't a haze of smoke at all its just the smell of smoke. The mojito bar was delicious. The waterfront is a neat idea the inside outside dinning options plus if you are walking around the outside they do have a bar you can stop for a drink if you like. Getting off at the port was easy no problems what so ever same with getting on. Debarkation process on the ship was easy and painless as well. The longest part was waiting to go through customs. The locals were friendly in Bermuda. There is so much to do. You are not swamped when you get off at port or any excursion. I would suggest getting the 2 day pass from my experience. The only rude people we encountered were some guest. All the staff was great always smiling saying hello and singing. Loved all the shows in the atrium. All I can say is do your homework before you cruise don't base it off of a itinerary. We were not disappointed and have already booked another cruise with NCL. It's what you make it so enjoy it!
