We had a great time . The ship is big and noisy. But exciting!

Embarkation

Embarkation was good overall. There was a delay in the process when a technical issue shut down the network. We asked a few questions about the ship at check in that the staff couldn’t answer which we found odd. They didn’t know where we should go to sign up for Vibe. (Go straight to Headliners)

The food was some of the best we’ve had at sea. One of our party has a severe tomato allergy. Before the cruise we talked with our assigned rep who entered it into the system. Once on Board we confirmed that the Maître d’ knew about it( again, go to Headliners) . She advised us to avoid the buffets as that would be the place with the highest risk of cross contamination. We did that with a couple of exceptions. All restaurants swiped her card and her allergy popped up. The supervisor, server and kitchen were all automatically advised. We made friends with Estella who supervises Taste Savour and Le Bistro. We felt the most relaxed and confident there. She was fantastic! La Cucina was also wonderful to us.

Smallest balcony cabin we’ve been in. Storage is lacking and awkward but adequate for 2 for 7 days (just).

Ship tip

Book you entertainment and dining ahead of time. This is crucial to get what you want. You can change on board. Options will be very limited at that point and you will have to stand in line for some of it.
