Review summary

Ship was too crowded... too much jammed into too small of space. Hallways too narrow to pass another person without one of you getting against the wall. Room steward kept no schedule, came once at 10:30 pm & walked right in. A lot of the staff was rude. Most restaurants were expensive and next to impossible to get a reservation. I wouldn't recommend Norwegian to anyone & wont sail with them again

go to consumer affairs and look at there rating one of the lowest ratings out of all the cruise lines

You're really complaining because there were no drawers? There are shelves in the closet. The size of the cabin? Something you would've known if you would've done some research before booking a cruise. Mini bar? There's one in every cabin on every cruise ship of every cruise line I know. You can ask your room Stewart to be emptied. I'm not someone to overlook the negatives or defend NCL but I try to put things in perspective. I work hard for my money. So, when I decide to spend it on a cruise, I make sure it's worth every penny. A minimum research goes a long way. I'm also someone that would rather focus on the positives. Just saying.

if all you care about is eating and drinking then its easy to over look the negatives and defend ncl im not a drinker so it sucks when people get drunk and puke in the pool its not fare to every one

i agree the ship was not designed for comfort was designed to make money pool deck was the worst I've ever seen on any ship the cabin was the smallest ive ever seen no draws to put clothes had to live out of suit cases but they made sure you had a mini bar so they could make money on that

Just got off the Escape about 12 hrs ago. We enjoyed Every minute of this cruise. The ship is Enormous and holds 4,000 + people but we knew that going in. Hallways were a little tight but no worse that a city bus or subway car. Staff was excellent as were All the restaurants. We ate at 4 of them and c reservations were not a problem...2 made pre cruise, 2 made on the ship. My family are fans of NCL after this trip.

And btw. There's more then 4000 people on board. Don't you think those people wanna eat at some point too??? Research. Reservations. Two words we'll know in cruise world.

And a day on a cruise ship beats any day at work. You don't have to cook or clean. You just have to do some research prior to your vacation, keep an open mind, grab a drink, put a smile on your face and enjoy your vacation.

The Escape remains our favourite ship, board again in a couple of weeks. The narrowness of passageways doesn't apply for folks within normal size parameters... (and I'm no rake)... as for the restaurants, the review implies inadequate pre-cruise research, the pricing and reservations system aren't kept secret... the Escape has a really good electronic door notice system which not only avoids 'walk-ins' but also let's the cabin steward know when you want the room making up.. I imagine the cabin steward was only responding to whatever you had illuminated on you door sign...

I have heard way too many good reviews of this ship to be even slightly worried. my boyfriend and I are going on this cruise September 23rd. I went on the Getaway last year which is very similar but a little smaller and absolutely loved it. I had no complaints.

Good news is you tried something else and did not like it. I give you credit for trying. You can always go back to your comfort zone or try another cruise line. Either way, hope your next cruise is better.

Question 1...Why didn't you make your dinner reservations when they became available to you prior to cruising? Question 2... why didn't you put the do not disturb and door lock on while in your cabin? Question 3... Did you think a ship with that many passengers on board wouldn't be crowded?
