Review summary

My husband and I loved this ship. There was so much to do on it! We never got bored and it was such an awesome experience. I loved all the stuff there was to do and see. We really enjoyed the restaurants and bars. Every single one was spectacular. Especially the Brazilian steakhouse! We were not disappointed in the ship by any means but were by a few other things. Our first cruise was in November 2016 on carnival and this one on the escape was in march. The carnival crew was so much friendly and would go out of the way every second of the day to make you laugh or do anything at all you asked for or needed. We even made a friend on there from the staff we still talk to! But on here there were a few people that were very friendly and stood out but most of the time that wasn't the case. They were just average and for a cruise like this they should be over the top. It was our honeymoon and I told Norwegian that before we sailed about 3 times and nothing happened. No cake like they said, no decorations or congrats. I was highly disappointed because we only have one honeymoon. We were disappointed that the ultimate drink package didn't cover everything. You had to pay extra for patron or anything like that. When we went on carnival we barely spent any extra money because so much more was included compared to Norwegian. Norwegian did have MUCH better photographers and pictures than carnival did. We loved our pictures. Our room was gorgeous on Norwegian and very clean. I loved those rooms. We loved the spa area. It was amazing! Also, something small but we really liked how they played a million different pretty new movies on the movie channel. We loved this because everyday we got back on the ship or got tired we would go rest and watch a good movie. Their broadway shows weren't the best though and they were pretty crowded everywhere which is understandable for a ship this big but it was still frustrating. There were too many other things that you had to pay for like ice cream and treats. Also, on a ship this big I expected the gift shop for Norwegian branded stuff to be much bigger. Carnivals was bigger than that and had tons of stuff and that was on the smallest ship. Well overall we loved the ship, there were those few things we were disappointed about but we did love our trip and our honeymoon. We loved our trip and didn't have any major problems and this ship and trip was an awesome experience but compared to carnival, carnival was better so we will definitely be choosing them again next time. Hope this helps people looking for some advice for their upcoming trips!!
