Review summary

Cruising sept 9 on Escape...can I find out how full the ship is?? I know it holds like 4000+ and I've read reviews saying how crowded it was...in sept would the crowd be less?! I hope...

I went on the Getaway last September and lobed it. jinu and Alex were awesome bartenders. Going on the Escape September 23rd

I'll be on the September 9th sailing. I usually sail the Getaway but trying the Escape this year. We always sail in September and I never notice it being over crowded. There's a lot of people, sure, but I never feel crowded on the ship.

We are going Sept16, hoping most kids would be back in school. Thought it would be a little more relaxing!

We were on Escape last year for September 10. It was only at 80% capacity. Hardly any kids. No waits Going a week later this year for Western Caribbean

Most cruises are fully booked. Not sure about this one. But...if its not you can go to guest services and ask for a free upgrade for a cabin. Every once in a while you get lucky. Also, the Escape is the prettiest ship I have been on, and I have been on 17 cruises.

In Sept there should be fewer kids, but everything is so spread out except pool decks that you hardly notice.

Went last year same time on the Getaway and although crowded it wasn't a problem. Nothing but fun.

thank you all....I just read some reviews and the biggest complaint was being so crowded. I booked when I did hoping to avoid that & have less children running about.

You can call and ask. They will tell you a % of how full they are. They can also tell you the average age of cruisers ie: how many under 18, over 21,over 30,40 years old etc.. so you can get a better Idea.

Cruise.com used to be a really good site for this and for seeing what ships would be in port with you at your different stops. It even told the other ships capacity too but they've stopped updating their site for some reason. Most ships normally sail full though. You should have less children though.

I have not been in the Escape, but have been on the Jewel which is smaller. It was crowded...mostly by the elevators on port days getting on and off ship. I think "crowded" is defined by the person defining it. I'm imagining the same thing with Escape. Either way, you need to expect that there will be people around. I leave Sept. 30th!!

I was on the escape and other big ships the first day and last day leaving the ship when you notice the crowd

I was on the Breakaway which is almost the same size as the Escape and it was sold out at about 5200 people and certain places were crowded but lots of quiet places too. The crowds really were not bad.

Just an idea... there may be a more accurate way, but I would explore the website as a potential cruiser and see what cabins are still available. That might give some idea on how "sold out" it is. It wouldn't give you a super clear estimate though because you wouldn't know if there might be four or two in a stateroom. Happy cruise!
