Review summary

Very clean ship. Housekeeping crew were great. However, the ship was overcrowded and the food was disappointing. Cruise director was not good either.

Disney caters to kids...try that cruise line. Thats why the other ships dont have tons of children's activities. There is some...but bars, casinos and comedy acts out number them.

@keishavuong be prepared for the child's pool to be closed a lot. If the children's pool closes then kids are free to use the adult pool. I for one would not let my kids anywhere near the adult pool due to very very drunk individuals makes it unsafe. Unless you plan to register your kids in the youth clubs there is not much for them on the escape.

No there weren't many kids on our cruise. Also @misspunkyb cruising isn't for "mostly adults" not sure where you're getting that from.

not a whole lot...but a baby was in the room next to ours....then had a few incidents of tantrums throughout the ship. Watched two kids fall down the stairs...almost had a heart attack trying to save em. The mom was shopping. ð. I'd expect them in the game rooms, on deck and swimming etc...but I seen kids running through the casino floors, in bars and hot tubs late night. Some parents are not the best.

I hate when everything caters to only kids and family. Being 18+...when I go on vacation, I dont want to be surrounded by kids. I'm drinking, dancing and trying to have fun. Dont get me wrong, I love kids, but a cruise is for everyone...mostly adults.

We had Jackie Chan on our cruise last month. He was amazing!!! Did a hell of a job at the Mr Sexy legs competition!! He switched to the Getaway the following week

Yes jacky was great, I wish he would have been the CD honestly. All in all I had an amazing cruise but it was just overcrowded. I've been on the getaway which has the same amount of people but the crowd was not bad but for some odd reason the crowd was horrible on the escape. The kids pool was shut down basically the whole time due to kids throwing up and pooping in the pool and I didn't want to deal with the overcrowded adult pool. This forum is for rating ships and that's what I did, if you don't agree with my review then make your own :) like I said I enjoyed my cruise and said the shows and comedians were great, I just wanted to share my thoughts about the downsides.

We were on the Escape a few weeks ago and it WAS absolutely overcrowded! That did not ruin it for us though. We had a fabulous time! IMO the cruise director was ok but I liked Jackie Chan from Hong Kong the best lol

I found the director to be like fire said tv host but was very witty and funny in delivery. Lines and lack of them is timing. Especially when in port. Theater shows outstanding and Howling at the Moon always fun wherever you see it

Timing is everything. We normally go during off times. No real crowds.

Maybe if you wanted a more family oriented cruise you should have taken a Disney cruise. NCL cater to everyone, I have sailed with them with and without my family many of times and loved it! I have three active bookings with them now!!

Him compared to other cruise directors I've had, he was just lacking. He wanted to concentrate more on 18+ activities and didn't really care about family.

Went on Escape in April and those of us in the solo cabins had poor housekeeping and the deck was overcrowded on sea days. Food was hit and miss. First time I went on a cruise with food issues.

We were on the Escape last month. Ship was sold out and we never once felt overcrowded. Never waited any longer than 10 minutes for anything. We thought the food was above and beyond perfect, never had a bad meal.

Don't be worried. I still had an amazing time! The shows and the comedians are great so I would really suggest going!
