We have always brought an extra $200 just for gratuities upon the prepaid ones. We would always get to know our support staff. We engage them, ask about their country and family. As for rooms. We splurge once a year for a balcony room in hopes of being upgraded to a suite. Either way we are good:) We have always done the smaller ships. This will be our first mega ship. Will see how we fare:)
