Review summary
Overall we had a good time on our cruise. However, service and food was not as good as in past years when we sailed on the Majesty. The coffee was horrible. Many times in the main dining rooms we would be there for over 2-1/2 hours. Pricing on drinks and pictures is getting way too expensive. I realize prices increase over time, but there should be options for purchasing pictures. Instead of forcing people to purchase the packages of 2 pictures for $14.95 a better alternative should be, 1 picture for $9.95 and the package for $14.95. This way the cruise ship would be making money, and people would probably purchase more pictures. I know I would have purchased at least 5 other pictues had this been an option. Better to make a little money, than nothing at all. What's the deal with the new system for getting beach towels? Many people were not happy with the new system, and several people had their towels taken when they left the towels on their chairs to get a drink, they now had to pay the $25.00 charge which didn't make them very happy. I believe we should be allowed bring alcohol on board for our staterooms or at least purchase it from the store on the ship and bring to our rooms. After all we pay for our cruise and many people like to have a drink while getting ready for dinner or when spending time in their rooms. The cost for bottle water is getting ridiculous. Let's hope there will be improvements and not just higher prices. We have sailed from Boston to Bermuda for the past 6 years, but will need to rethink our plans for next year.Ship experiences
