Review summary

i started experiencing stomach cramps the evening of departure.  The symptoms worsened and I went to the doctor the following day.  Was treated for urinary tract and kidney infection and sent back to my room.  Returned the next day to discover I had appendicitis and needed surgery.  Transferred to hospital and that was the end of my trip. 

 

I spent the majority of time in my room and only saw the steward once.  Was told later by my travel companion that he was sick too so couldn't clean our room.

 

So many problems with doctor, charges, latitudes problems for my friend, that I don't plan on going on another NCL cruise.

why is everyone quick to blame everyone else for something out of there control. you came on board I'll and that is their problem how? sounds like you pulled through and are doing well and that's what counts.

To give the ship and cruise line one star due to your appendicitis is VERY unfair. Appendicitis is not contracted on the ship and especially not on the first day of the cruise. Your personal feelings because of your illness in not being to experience the total cruise, an illness not inflicted by the ship shouldn't be reflected in the overall review of the cruise itself!!

the cruise line shouldn't be held accountable for your illness. it's not something you caught on the boat. for what you mentioned, they did what they could for you. hopefully you purchased traveler's insurance that covered it all if not guess it's all on you......
