Review summary
We sailed from NC to Burmuda on the Norwegian Crown. I really liked the smaller ship, we had a 2 to 1 passenger crew ratio. This made it very good. I could not imagine being on a larger ship and have to be shuttled off the boat. The food in the restaurants was very good when you were eating in the fine dinning. The buffet was not that good in the 24 hour restaurant. You must make reservation for the good restaurants right when you get on the ship to get a spot, that was a bit of a pain. I am not so sure that "freestyle" dining is the best thing for the cruising world. The workout facilities were good and the spa was great. But the ship is a bit outdated in decor, we felt like we had just walked into the "loveboat" set. This particular ship has just been sold and will make it's last Norwegian cruise line sail in November. But the crew were still very nice and extrememly willing to help you or get you things if you needed it - like a box of fruit loops at 11:00 pm.Ship experiences

Pros: The cruise staff were very friendly and made you feel like the ship was yours
Cons: The ship was stuck in the late 80's as far as decor. But everything was very well maintained
