Review summary

All in all we enjoyed our cruise, we had a good time. The ship is showing its age, but the crew did their best to keep it clean. The staff on the boat were extremely polite and friendly. The buffet was generous, however the selection of food was not the best. The sit down restaurant was excellent, their meals were absolutely delicious.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The sit down dining room far surpassed the buffet restaurant.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Our only complaint would be that they could have announced the daily activities on the pa system, other than just advertising them in the freestyle daily paper.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We found all of the staff to be friendly and polite, some more than others. We enjoyed them all.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
We did not like that they allowed smoking in the rooms, since we are non-smokers. It would make sense to have blocks of rooms for smokers and non-smokers, if smoking is to be allowed.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
They could pay more attention to making sure the mold is cleaned from the shower curtain and the tiles. Also, the control for the shower was very difficult to use.

Ports of call

Absolutely the Crystal Cave. It was amazing and our guide was very friendly, informative and a lot of fun. Watching the Grand Prix bike race on Front Street was fun and exciting. Horseshoe Bay Beach!!! Absolutely beautiful and would love to go there again. Cog Penny Pub and Restaurant was pleasant, good food and nice wait staff.
Don't Miss: Absolutely Horseshoe Bay Beach and The Crystal Cave.

St. George's, Bermuda

The glass-bottom boat sun-set cruise was great! The captain and his assistant were extremely friendly and informative. Being able to see downtown at night with the Gombey dancers was a lot of fun. Dancing in the square with other people was also a lot of fun.
Don't Miss: The glass-bottom boat sunset cruise.

Pros: The destination most of all, since we went to Bermuda. Hospitality on the Norwegian Crown. Freestyle cruising. The entertainment, they had wonderful shows and fun activities.

Cons: Being bothered by the bar staff, who apparently thought they had to be on top of you to buy drinks. On our last cruise the bar staff was always available, but they were not right on top of you the minute you sat by the pool or in the night club.

Recommends Norwegian Crown? No.
